This is my timeline on the generations of distance education. Distance education has evolved significantly since the late 1800s. Even though we have the most modern technology today, it's important to know just how far distance education has come.

This is my poster on the scope of distance education. I worked to make it clear that distance education is used in K-12 schools, colleges, universities, the armed forces, and several professions. Distance education has made learning far more accessible for millions of people.
For the timeline, I wanted to emphasize several points; those being the points about Anna Eliot Ticknor, the Open University of China, and all the points about online classes. I felt it was important to clarify why Anna Eliot Ticknor, the Open University of China, and the advent of the personal computer were extremely significant regarding the history of distance education. As for the poster, I felt that it was important to place special emphasis on the University of Florida since I know we can all relate to what I'm talking about.
